I am a British citizen and I live in the States so yes I do follow US politics. Unfortunately, the quality of the US broadcast media is terrible compared to the BBC. Unlike the UK, US news networks just don't go into enough detail about key issues. I don't think the American public is as informed as they should be because of the standard of journalism here. In essence the likes of Fox, CNN, NBC, ABC and CBS just give a bubblegum appraisal of an issue rather than get down to the nitty gritty of it like the BBC or Channel 4 news in Britain would.
