Dreft or Ivory Snow for detergent. I wouldn't use fabric sohtener in the rinse cycle but if there is static cling I would use a Bounce frabric softener sheet when drying clothes in the dryer.

It's OK to use regular detergent from the beginning, although dye-free and unscented is probably best (for you and the baby). Use a little less than normal (I've found that I only need about half of what the box recommends anyway), and make sure you rinse well. (If you can see suds at the end of the cycle, rinse again and use less detergent the next time.)
No fabric softeners.

they say to use "Dreft" but if your like me, and have a front loading machine, you obviously cant use this, seeing as they dont make a detergent for hE...in this case i suggest tide free, or anything of the likes, seeing as it has no colors or perfumes, also if you must use fabric sheets make sure those have the no perfumes in them either, seeing as a newborn has super sensitve skin, not sure whn you can start using regular stuff though

I've used the same detergent for my entire family forever. I never switched brands when my children were born. I've never used a detergent that's especially marketed for washing baby clothes. I wash and dry all of our clothes together. And I use dryer sheets. Both of my children are fine and have never had a reaction to "adult" detergents.

Dreft or Baby All. If you want to be economical then baby all because you get more for a lower price

they say to use 'dreft' but I think any detergent it okay, if it does happen to break your baby out-switch-but dreft is over-priced and not a necessity-i use whatever fabric sheets.
