There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

Dark circles are generally hereditary. The only thing that I know of that works is sleep, and drinking water. These two things only help a little. You can never fully get rid of them. The eye area is very thin and show when you are not hydrated, or are tired.
Try a good concealer.

no no none of them answers are right this is what I found out it's lil blood cells under the skin that have died and it turn the skin dark ,it comes from pulling at the eye and rubing to hard that area should be care for other than just cleaning the face when you wash take your rub inward don't rub down, as fare as the dark circles nothing is on the market at this time that works and wont do more damage to the skin mac make-up works for me as a cover up

I usually use Oil of Olay eye lifting serum before I go to sleep and every morning - works like a charm to get rid of those awful dark circles. Redness in the eyes or redness on your skin? If its on your skin use Apple Cider Vinegar on your face before you go to sleep - just put a little bit in the palm of your hands and pat it on yuor face. By morning you will have a very radiant glow.
Hope this helps!

For the circles -- take tea bags after they've steeped and put them under your eyes
For the redness -- drink more water
