yeah i dont have a phone we only have internet cuz my boyfriend has a cell phone so he doesnt need a phone. But my cell is disconnected and i have no one to talk to just the computer and internet. I'm trying to keep my mind off of things by surfing the net and writing blogs but its hard cuz i still get those thoughts. I wish my boyfriend was here only 2 more hours till he gets home.

This is not a normal reaction. You need to see the doctor who prescibed it to you, fast! There are probably other anti-depressants you can try that will have a better effect. Try to relax as best you can, and if you don't have a phone and are afraid you might hurt yourself, get to a neighbour's house to use their phone or IM a friend who can come over right away to sit with you. Do not stop taking your medication until ordered to by the doctor, as the sudden absence in your system might cause other bad reactions. Try to think of something you enjoy and do that to try and distract yourself, even if it doesn't work very well (funny movies, art, reading, exercise, get some fresh air, anything at all).

First of all.. repeat to yourself some positive affiming statements, like
I am OK, _(fill in bfs name)___ loves me and I'm just fine.
Find something pretty and focus on teh pretty object, and say out loud - "That is a beautiful picture/flower/whatever it is.
You need to get your mind moving in a positive direction.
Now, can you go to a neighbor or a public place and use a phone? You really need to tell your doc about this. It might be a medication thing...it might be your depression casuing these thoughts. Being alone is not good right now... please get to a phone and call your boyfriend AND the doc.

I am also on cymbalta. What you need to understand is that many anti-depressents can cause suicidal thoughts/attempts. I know this sounds crazy. You would think these meds would help STOP those feelings. Please know that you are not alone. You will get through this. What you need to do is call a loved one. Do not be alone right now. And call you doc right away.

When he gets home, call the Doctor who prescribed the cymbalta to you and explain the feelings you are having. It is very important to tell your Dr. There are many different antidepressants and this may not be the one for you. Hang in there. You are not alone......we are all here. :):)

Get in touch with your doctor right away and tell him/her that you are feeling this way. If you are having these feelings, you should not be taking this drug. There are others they can prescribe, which won't have this affect. Please don't act upon your thoughts right now. They are just thoughts, which have been created by this drug. They are NOT you! Hang in there and talk to the doc as soon as you can.

If you are home alone right now without a phone, why does your computer work?
Either way, Yahoo Answers should keep you occupied until your boyfriend gets home.

If you think this drug is posing a threat, stop taking it immediately. It sounds as if it's having a negative effect. Stop taking it, think positive and see your doctor as soon as you can about changing the prescription.
