It hurts, but it'll be over in two seconds. Tattoos hurt more! Go for it!

Well well well, this just so happens to be my favorite kind of question.

Different people think that different things hurt,( like when your friend busts his head and is crying all night, and you think back to when you did the same and you're like.... wow he's a pussy) and it's no different with piercings. Some thing that hurts to some one might not necessarily hurt so bad to you. I've had 3 piercings done in the last year and a half, and I think that my tongue was the most painful, then my Monroe (just had that done Sunday) then my lip. My lip didn't hurt and a lot of people say that it doesn't, but you might have tinder lips (no puns) and it could hurt to you. Well yeah, so that's basically all I got to say. But usually the healing process is what is most painful, and the worst thing about getting your tongue pierced isn't the needle ( that honestly didn't hurt) but it's the demonic flippin tong thing that they use to hold out your tongue so that they pierce it correctly.
Hope thins helps, sorry so long.

Actually anytime you get a needle stuck through your lip.. tongue.. chin or anywhere else on your face.... it hurts. Your face is not used to such a shock. The bad news is some people are prone to get keloids and or infection. It doesn't hurt extremely bad but you will definately know something happened in the immediate area for a few days! YYeeeeeeesssssssuuurrrrrrrrr!
Do not take acetaminophen like Tylenol. Take Naproxen Sodium or Ibuprophen for the swelling. Ice helps too! A cold compress for those times when you are lying around is not such a bad idea either...
