My friend - lets call her Becky - was really nice to me and my other friends. The keyword there is WAS. Now she acts all snobby. At lunch I'll be talking to my friend - Linda - and Becky will be like "omg what are you talking about? TELL ME!" If I don't tell her she'll yell at me and keep bugging me about it. And when I talk to her in an IM she yells at me alot. Then she's like "I have no idea what you are talking about. If you think I'm being mean then FINE. BLOCK ME!" And if I say something like "Hola" she won't stop saying it. So then if I say it alot people will say that I'm copying her, which I don't want to. I don't like her very much, but she still thinks we're "BFFs" What should I do? My other friend - Linda - is mad at Becky too! Becky was mean to Linda. We don't want to be mean and be like "go away". I don't know what to do! Please help!!!

i have had a problem like this... it is VERY hard. i no. either talk to her (but if shes anything like my friend, it won' t help). but first do that. if that doesnt work, or if u cant say it to her face, write a note or email her. sound serious. if that doesnt work, then slowly start avoiding her. dont tell her u no, once and 4 all, but just avoid her. start by when u guys have to pair up 4 stuff, just say i'm gonna try someone new. then stop calling her over. and when she calls u over, say ur busy or u can't make it. of course don't lie, but just u no... hope i helped.

Sounds like "Becky" might be feeling left out and worried she's losing you as a BFF? She might be jealous to see you talking with Linda. She also seems to look up to you and that's why she copies you. What if you just told her you want to stay friends but you feel like you're doing something to irritate her. That way, it puts in on her and gets it out in the open so you can both talk about it.

I am sorry about your B**** of a friend Becky but what you need to do is stand up for yourself. If you wont then tell someone. By the way she is not a true friend if she is acting like that. She would be a BAD friend.

Tell "Becky" that you don't appreciate those kind of actions from her and ask her to be real with you; after all she claims to be one your close friends. And if that doesn't work, let her know that it's not personal but you really can't take much more of her behaviour.

Ask her if there is something you did to offend her.

Best of luck

well yeah ive had many situtions like that and im 17 years old and if shes really like that then she doesnt deserve you as a friend. just start telling her to lay off and act kinder or else this friendship wont work. if she was really your friend, she would do it for u. if not then dont bother with her. friends like that will take you nowhere and be cruel to u for the rest of your life.
good luck hun!!

She sounds a little insecure and very controlling.............my opinion: honesty is the best policy. Just tell her you don't hate her and don't want to be mean to her but you also don't want to hang with her anymore. You can explain the reasons to her, who knows it might help her to change into a better person.

Best of Luck! Ü

you need to 1. try to get her with new ppl , but from what you said i doubt she'll stick with it 2. just ignore her 3. when she talks to you don;t be mean but be like i don't want to be your friend anymore because . . . (whatever she did) and move on it clearly will not be a big loss

explain to "Becky" that you don't appreciate the way that she's acting. that you're still willing to be friends, but recently, she's been getting on your nerves (if that's true). if she actually wants to be friends, she'll change her ways.

Cut down on your association with her. Eventually she will see that you're not as close as you once were. Hopefully this will correct her annoying high school behavior.
