I have never heard that crossing your legs can cause your thighs to get fatter, but I have heard that by crossing your legs too much it puts pressure on the underside of the top leg, breaking the small, subcutaneous veins, creating spider veins. Just stay healthy and active and don't worry about them getting fatter. P.S. If you don't want spider veins, and you can't stop crossing them, then you should elevate your legs for 20 minutes per day, it will improve the circulation, preventing new veins from forming and helping existing ones to fade.
