Because they think it will help in saving energy (oil consumption). But they forgot that the Nixon administration did this during the early 1970's (Arab oil embargo). It did not work then and I think it will not work now. The United States should had all ready been weaning itself from foreign oil and have it's own energy agenda.

to confuse every ones computers i guess that's the jokes going around! the real reason is someone figured to see how much more energy we will be saving. they are thinking about leaving it 1 way for the whole yr. who knows it might be better. at least we wont have to keep changing the clock and getting use to the new time.
