A lot depends on what teams you're watching. Follow the players because it's hard to follow the puck at first, and ask lots of questions (as long as you're not going to annoy the people you're going with) so that you get a feel for the game. It's a really fast-paced and exciting sport, but it does take some time to wrap your head around it. I've been watching for about 8 years, and I'm finally beginning to consider myself something of an expert.

If you are 21 or older drink pleanty of beer, or else it will put you to sleep. Unless it is an American Hockey League game where you can get close to the ice without spending half your savings account. Be prepared for idiots who are clueless screaming in you ear, and yes I am talking to you anoying girl in section 305 who makes out disgustingly with her clueless boyfriend whenver the Canes score. Stop freaking screaming already.

Keep your head up, especially during the pre-game warm up. The goalie deflects the pucks towards the stands so all the kids go nuts trying to get one. My buddy got one right in the forehead once, stunned him for a sec, so my other buddy grabbed the puck and shoved it in his pocket. When the first guy came to, he asked where his puck went, we all just shrugged. Other than that it'll be fine, just when play is underway pay attention to the action, do your gabbing during the stoppages.

depends on where u go...obviously u cheer when ur team gets a goal and boo when the other team gets a goal...but if u were a buffalo fan, the loudest fans in the nhl, the celebration of a goal goes on for 5 minutes at a time....u have to see it to believe it...also the sabres score a lot so those r fun...buyt ifu go to somewhere like Nj, the fans suck and so does the offense...those r the games that u want to get really really really drunk at...feel free to pass out

I hope you enjoy it.
The game is fast so you need to be aware of what is going on.
Watch the players who are moving without the puck, those are the guys that will probably perform well in the game.

a lot of fast action.hockey is one of the fastest sports i have watched.it has pretty easy rules to learn and a lot of grit.i hope you have good seats to catch all the action.watch the puck,i don't mean just to follow the game sometimes it comes flying over the glass and if you are in the right spot not paying attention you could regret it.

this is a pair of degree under room temperature, they do no longer save the development chilly, merely the floor the ice is on. activity must be approximately 2 a million/2 hours, accounting for stoppages in play.

depends on where you are sitting, the only place you don't really have to worry about getting beer spilled on you is at the back of the nosebleed section, seriously though it does get kind of quiet sometimes during the game play so you have to make noise

high vending prices. Don't stand or try to get out of your seat while the puck is in play or you'll be taunted.
