i want to know what steps it takes to become a fashion designer and how i can ready myself for it if i choose to become one

All I know about becoming a fashion designer I learned from watching Project Runway.
Sounds like you should already be designing your own clothes and making your own wardrobe. The most talented fashion designers start without any training.
You can go to school and get a degree in fashion design.
At the very least, take a sewing class so you know how to use a machine.

Go to a college or tech school that teaches that stuff. Take the classes and follow their steps.
