I would say no becuase of the loss of players they had. While losing those players they never really made an improvement. And remember the Cardinals almost missed the playoffs, they didn't get hot until the playoffs and with no one to protect Pujols I think it's going to be walk after walk for him.

They can but they won't.

The Cubs are better
Their pitching got worse
They made no additons to their team and only had losses
Last year was a fluke
They were only 5 games above 500 last year

Very doubtful --- they sneaked into the playoffs last year as a barely over-.500 team, with pitching as their main weakness. Well, now their pitching is even worse. They will not even return to the WS, much less repeat as champions.

No way. That was a fluke. Eckstein as the WS MVP was insane. The guy is like Mighty Mouse or something.

if i rooted for a nl team it would be for the cards, who have some of the best fans in baseball....unfortunately, that won't be enough for them to win it again. Although they proved last year that the best teams don't win it all

No, they'll finish 3rd in the NL Central behind the Brewers and Cubs.

Definetly not! I think the Tigers had a taste last year and will go for the whole bottle this year!

Sure why not? Pujols is going to have another monster season and their pitching is really good. So yeah I think they can do it again!
