ok i sold a set of used itr rims/ wheels for a car, they where 15x7 , the wheels were not damaged when i inspected them but i did do a quick over look of them clean the front of them pretty good, when the rims arrived in good packaging , they were dented from behind and had maybe 8 nicks in the paint job , so the guy wanted a refund , I offered him partial refund or help get the wheels repainted He refused , He filed a complaint with pay pal They denied his claim , So now he said he persueing legal actions against me in court , small claims court , What should i do , i mean i offered money to him i don't think its right to issue a full refund I think i was pretty fair enough the wheels still look great and are fully able to use on the car , So let me know what i should do also he is from new york im from Ohio .

I think that you did your job in offering him a partial refund, if he wants to go for small claims court it is going to cost him more to file the claim and start. Just to be on the safe side I would contact a lawyer to see what the law is in your state, besides most lawyers offer information like this over the phone or have free 30 minute consultations.

if you buy a new car and the dealership jacks up your car on the way out of detailing to deliver it to you....wouldnt you be FEARCELY PISSED and want a refund or another car that is equal to the one you paid good money for? cant blame him...come on be a good business owner and do right by what you've sold. take the rims back and give him what he paid for and fix the other ones yourself and resell them. that's the honest thing to do. you shouldnt expect him to be happy with your ghetto response. that's trashy.
why dont u take them back and file a claim wiht the shipping company?
