Let's just say I hope your laptop is still under warranty. It appears as if your laptop has had some type of physical damage (a drop perhaps). There are alot of possibilities as to what specifically is causing the flickering. The Video cable might be loose on the motherboard. The motherboard itself might have an error. Or the hard drive could be corrupted. Take it to your nearest service center. *Note: most compusa's are authorized service centers.

Could be the screen itself is dead or video card itself is fried. Either way.. its a HW failure. Check to see if its still under warranty 'cause it wouldnt be cheap replacing those parts. Screen is the most expensive part on a laptop.

Sounds like either the panel inverter or the video adapter. Most likely the video adapter as the inverter would not cause the computer to freeze.

Really all you can do is bring it in to a service center and have it looked at.

sounds like your graphics chip has died, if this is what the problem is then your looking at a new laptop, if your graphics chip has fried then u need a whole new mainboard, this usually means your laptop will be cheaper to replace than repair. i would take it to a specialist laptop repair place, but you will find that it wont be cheap even if they cant fix it . . .
