You will feel it far quicker than anyone else can so it will be a while before dear hubby will feel it. At first it will be like a butterfly in your belly and after that it will get much more noticeable and actually feel like bumping around in there. It is a really neat feeling!
Best of Luck!

Im 24 weeks with number 3, and this one started moving off and on about week 18 and he just felt the baby kick about a week ago. Means it is your first child its not abnormal to not feel the baby kick until your between 20-24 weeks. Just hang in there it will happen :) and it takes longer for hubby to feel him or her!

I was in your situation about 6 weeks ago! I started to feel "flutters" around 16 weeks and that's all I felt up until my 22nd week. Now, I can feel actual kicks at 23 weeks and it's the neatest thing! The movements can be felt from the outside, but my everytime my boyfriend puts his hand on my belly, the baby stops!! I told him that the baby is just as stubborn as he is.

I felt my baby (my first) at 16.5 weeks BUT I had to being lying down, completely still and actually paying attention for it! It took until about 20 weeks for me to really feel the baby move around. It then took until about 23-24 weeks for my husband to be able to feel her move from the outside...now I'm 28.5 weeks and you can SEE my belly jerk when she moves.
It's hard but be patient...you might be feeling her already and you just don't know it! To me it felt like when you get a muscle twitch in the corner of your eye...but it's in your lower belly instead.

Congratulations!
First of all, you baby is moving, you just haven't felt it yet or recognized the movements. I am due in July with our third child (I have two girls and this one is a BOY!) and I didn't notice movement till I was further along with my first. Then I noticed it quicker with my second, and then now I notice it much more and I am 23 weeks. Remember, when you are walking the body rocks, so he/she is probably sleeping during that time. At night, they are more active because you are not.

Quickening is anywhere from 16-24 weeks for first babies and dad won't be able to feel anything until a few months after that.

I first felt mine move about 18ish weeks, and it felt kind of like gas. My husband didn't feel the baby move until around Christmas, when I was about 22-23 weeks :)

i think of each and every being pregnant is diverse, not basically each and every person, yet oftentimes i think of maximum initiate feeling their toddler kick at between 4 and 5 months. i'm heavy and started feeling my oldest at approximately 4 months and my youthful son a sprint over 5 months and that they the two have thoroughly diverse personalities as properly. in all probability not concerning the kicking, purely that they have been diverse in maximum each and every thing. I choose you each and every and all the success on your being pregnant!
