Kristallnacht was different than other actions because it was the first time that such an event was orchestrated on a large scale across all Germany. Previous attacks had been small scale and isolated incidents more reactionary than determined actions. The Kristallnacht was in response to the assassination of Ernst vom Rath, Third Secretary of the German Embassy in Paris. 30000 Jews were put into concentration camps, 1600 synagogues ransacked or set on fire. and a unknown number of Jews were beaten to death.
It was the first large scale act of violence against Jews that was sponsored and endorsed by the Nazi party. It sent a clear message of the Nazi governments intentions.

Prior to Kristallnacht the anti-semitism in Germany was mostly rhetoric. But Kristallnacht was a massive coordinated attack on Jewish property. Action instead of talk.
I think in a way it It was a sign of things to come, a signal that hatred of Jews in Germany would not be limited to simply words and bad looks and taunting. Jews would have to face far worse in the future, their lives, liberty and property were in grave danger.

Kristallnacht is translated into English as Night of Broken Glass. this was an outbreak of the violence against Jews in Germany. During this night many windows in shops were broken to small pieces. Most of them were made of cristal - that's why it is called so. this was the beginning of the agression against Jews in Germany. As fjr me? there is no difference - only in consequences: this soon led to the Final Solution made by Hitler. In the result of the Final Solution, as you probably know, millions of people were severely killed!

I dunno. But thank you kindly for the points. That's very sad, flower. Thanks for informing. I have some Jewish ancestry, I recently found out. Good to know the history. What a shame that some people have hate in their hearts.
