When I try to talk to my mom... she doesnt listen its like im talking to a wall. I love her... and a lot of times we are close but I cant stand just talking to no one. And then she thinks that im being rude to her when i get mad. What should I do? Please help

This may sound crazy, but my oldest daughter and I found we could communicate better in writing. If one of us has something really important to talk about we'll write a letter and hand it to the other. Then we can read our letters when we have time to really concentrate on what it's saying, and answer, usually with another letter. Sometimes there are just so many things pulling at your mom's thougts that it's hard for her to concentrate. Putting it in writing will give her time to think. (But don't push her for an answer- be patient!) This might sound kinda cold, but it works for us, we're both happy with the arrangement. Don't get me wrong, we still talk too!

Talk to the floor or the ceiling while in the room with her! Then when she notices and asks you what you are doing, tell her you're just sick of talking to a wall...

well i don't really talk to my mom about things but i hope this helps. maybe you can sit down with her and ask her why she doesn't let you talk to her about certain things. i mean sometimes it can get bad, but other times it can work. i still have a hard time like that, because my mom is the same way. but it should hopefully work.

im the same way my mom always want me to talk to her and tell her everything but when i do sit down to talk to her its like she wants nothing to do wiht me she totally ignors me. what the freak is up wiht that . our parents want us to be honest wiht them but when we actually try they dont want to listen. maybe we should tell them why we dont talk to them and why we dont spend time with them. its really messed up they gave birth to us and now they dont want to give us the time of day. when u figure out what to do contact me and let me know as well
