My uniform at work now consists of a a white high neck vitorian blouse with a large red floppy bow and a red pencil skirt. Is this appropriate for a restaurant server? The bow tends to get in the way, but the manager won't budge.

It sounds fine. If the owner of the restaurant has that as the uniform there's not much you can do unless you can prove that its a safety hazard (which I dont' think it is)... be happy thats your uniform and not some skimpy outfit.

Your manager will want to be sure that any part of your uniform does not put you at risk of injury. Uniforms in the service industry vary based on theme and clientele.

Your ability to properly service food is of course the main concern and as important does the uniform acquire part of the menu during your time on the job. Put another way, do you look like an entree because your uniform is meeting the plate at various levels. There is nothing worse to a customer than to see a mess on the waitress.

That is most certainly not appropriate! Atleast you don't work at hooters! Your manager must be a pervert!

That is fine. You could wear it out on a date! (But I'm sure you don't want to wear your work clothes on a date)
