Sorry to sound cynical but if you can make it thru a season of American Idol without loosing your lunch than YOU are the Survivor...

American Idol because Ur In Control!! America has the pwer and Sometimes you get awesome singers like 6 people from season five: Taylor Hicks, Kat McPhee, Elliott Yamin, Chris Daughtry, Paris Bennett, Kellie Pickler, And Bucky Covington!! People from Survuvor just go and have 3 minutes of fame and People from AI have a longer time look at Chris Kellie, Kelly, Carrie all of those people!!! u don't get good Talent from Survivor!!!

Survivor: Modern tribal behavior posed as a contest
American Idol: Bad talent contest.
Some people like to watch these programs because Law and Order is not on at that time.

Even though they are both reality tv (which votes someone off).. each was really the first of its kind... Shows like brat camp, lost etc... stemmed from Survivour... Same thing goes with So you think you can dance...
They are both completley different shows, so they are difficult to compare (much like saying i am on the highway and i will increase my velocity by 20 degrees celcius).. personally i think american idol is/was less intense when survivour came out.

i think 'survivor' is much better...
it's better television: stinky people running around causing trouble. it's funny to see how dumb people can be for a chunk of cash.
'american idol' is alright... but i believe 'survivor' is better.

i used to love survivor,yet now i ended watching it by way of fact while dan (the astronaut) have been given voted off,i ended watching. I merely watched for him by way of fact he lives 2 cities over from me.Now i watch neither,ive in no way been an idol fan
