Still trying to figure out why someone who never cured anyone of any disease, never presided or was elected to govern anyone, never really contributed anything to our society or to it's betterment, is given a funeral that was as stately, if not moreso, than that of former President Gerald Ford.
Has our society really fallen this far? Are we moving backwards instead of forwards that we choose to actually honor someone like her, who was essentially nothing more than a stripper who happened to con the right guy into marrying her, and made millions of that.
She's received more press than Princess Diana and Gerald Ford combined, and it makes me ashamed to be an American that we would choose to continually focus on it again and again and again. This girl's 15 minutes of fame should've been over a long long time ago, and I'm sickened by the whole thing.

Anna had no talent and shouldn't even be compared to Marilyn Monroe. Monroe at least had a job.
Some think Anna was sexy - and sex sells.
Do like me and don't watch anymore. Turn the station.

If you're sick of the subject why bring it up again? We didn't plan her funeral, her family, friends and the community she lived in did. As far as Mr Marshall's $$$$$ she hasn't gotten a dime from his estate. As for Princess Diana, I recall after her death that it was all across the TV for a long, long time. Seems to me that the talk of Anna has now taken the back seat to Brittney Spears. Someday I hope Anna Nicole will be able to RIP !!!!!!!!!!

I do not know if you are old enough to remember, but in the mid 1990's, before her weight gain and legal troubles, she was actually a successful model. In addition to being Playmate of the Year, she was the model for Guess Jeans (succeeding Claudia Schiffer) which was a coveted modeling role. Saying she was "nothing more than a stripper" indicates that some people have forgotten what made her famous in the first place.

What is poignant about this situation is not Anna. It is the wild misconduct of everyone in her life. How someone can circumvent the law LEGALLY to deny a father is rightful claim to his child. How a negligent mother who cared nothing for her daughter in life, can be so influential in her death. How a lawyer can take all control of your life. And how the media can turn your pointless death into a pointless media circus. It is a tragic commentary on society.

Is this the first time you have noticed that the news media is shallow, consumed with their own importance, and think that the rest of the world just follows their every word? Realize that most of the junk put out by the media is slanted, that is, they only run stories that interest them, and they give opinions instead of facts.

As if you didn't know, lest see:

She was white, blond, blue eyes, had big breasts, big butt...

that is America's ideal of what beauty is... isn't it? Need I say anymore.
