There are too many factors here - how fertile you are, how fertile hubby is, when you have intercourse, etc.

If you are looking for raw numbers - 1 a year - 9 mo for baby and then get pregnant with in 3 months for about 20 years - 15-20 children.

There is the Duggar Family, Jim Bob and Michelle have 16 children and have been married 23 years.

And the record is:
"The highest officially recorded number of children born to one mother is 69, to the first wife of Feodor Vassilyev (1707-1782) of Shuya, Russia. Between 1725 and 1765, in a total of 27 confinements, she gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, 7 sets of triplets, and 4 sets of quadruplets. 67 of them survived infancy."

Good Luck!!!!

The chance of pregnancy when you don't use birth control is quite high. If you married at 20, the estimate is that you will be fertile for 25 more years of your life. Out of that, you could possibly be pregnant every other year (on average). So, you could have as many as 12 - 13 children. This is barring any multiples or miscarriages.

Most American Women spend 7 years of their life getting pregnant, being pregnant, or breast feeding. They spend about 23 years trying to prevent pregnancy.

Well a woman could have a baby every 10 months until menopause, so I guess she could have 40. That probably wouldn't happen though, because your uterus would be damaged. I work with a family where when the woman delivered her 13th child, her uterus collapsed. My OB told me that after having 6 babies you are considered high risk for many ailments because you've overworked your uterus.

If you don't use birth control, and have sex during the fertile times every month, you have a good chance of conceiving, but for the average couple it takes 3 or 4 months.

My grandmother had 20 live births and about 12 miscarriages so it can really add up. The only reason she didn't have more was because my grandfather was in the army for awhile. I think the biggest age gap was 3 yrs.

It really all depends. My cousin had 9 kids in 10 years. All single births. Her first was born when she was 17, so she was still in her child-bearing years and could have had many more I am sure.
