Nanny states are becoming the norm. As with each successive law, people need to realize their habit will be someone's else's pet peeve tomorrow. This is a slippery slope. Elitists assume that by implementing regulations it is for the betterment of society when in fact it is for the detriment of society.

Liberty at all costs must be protected by force of arms if necessary.

I'll quit when I want to quit. They already said no more smoking in bars(in WA, where I live) and that's enough of this BS!! Are they aiming for only smoking in your room with the lights off and under the covers next?....Such crap, because some people just can't deal with it.

I deal with their whinning all the time, they can put up with a cigarette every now and then. Hell, smoking's safer than fascism.

Two of my work colleagues claim to have given up cos of the new law but I know for a fact that they haven't - they keep pinching my fags!!
I certainly won't give up because of any new law. I sick of being bullied by this government. Labour is supposed to be the party of the people. Hah!
I will give up when i'm good and bloody ready and not before.

No, if I give anything up it'll be my choice not the state's. I'll just have to go outside a little more often.
