I felt that way on my first marriage but not my second which has been 20 years together now . I never had trust in my first marriage , was married to young really and I was trapped into it somewhat because the woman deliberately stopped her birth control without consulting me and I'd tried to do the honorable thing but that didn't help and her dishonesty continued along with cheating so it was a big painful mistake . 5 years is a long time but something must be bothering you or you feel something lacking . It is not uncommon to second guess ourselves and wonder what if ? Being single or married both have distinct advantages and disadvantages as you would know . I can only recommend more communication with your spouse so you can guage what they are feeling such as are they having similar thoughts and such . Loyal and trustworthy people don't grow on trees I can say that . See if you can work things out and maybe change up your daily routines a bit and perhaps that could help some . Good luck John !

Jeez...what a lucky lady your wife is. This is the very reason you shouldn't have gotten married. I feel bad for your wife. What a waste.

But that wasn't your question. I assume others feel that way, but the question should be...do you want to stay married...if the answer is no...then set your poor wife free so she can marry someone who loves and cherishes her and the marriage.

LOL! Why you asking if just men feel this way? I stayed married for 21 years and STILL wonder why I ever did it!
Of course I do have my two beautiful and extremely smart children to be thankful for...so something good did come from my own experience.

Dude I'm single but a lot of my friends tell me the same thing. These guys also live in nice houses, have someone to come home to, have someone to keep them organized, a person to do things with and they get laid regularly. Sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the other side

your probably feeling this way because u had different expectations about how it would be. marriage is no piece of cake, and once the honeymoon stage is over we begin to see the differences in the other. its when we accept these differences and give up trying to change that person that we can make our marriages better.

I think that everyone goes threw this...but would you rather be living the single life were you are looking for someone to share your life and experiences with, and going on dates that just don't do it for you, and just waiting or would you rather have the special someone who you have now to share those experiences, and cuddle up to every night!! It is true "the grass on the other side isn't always greener"!

Be thankful that you have someone who loves you, and wants to share their life with you!

yes and that is why the divorce rate is so high.
us women however stay devoted and love our spouses unconditionally and we would do everything for them and never consider not wanting to be with them and we are loyal and we and we uh oh never mind we all go through that.
