With all the advances in medicine concerning HIV, (not full blown AIDS) would you have relations with someone who had HIV if you practiced safe sex by using a condom?

By asking this question, I'm not saying that I have nor would I. It's something that came up in conversation with someone, I know who is family. Consider Magic Johnson who is happily married while he himself is HIV positive. What if you fell in love and later learned that person was positive? Would you take the chance to consumate the relationship or walk away?

I honestly probably would not. But it's supposedly safe to do so.

Absolutely not. Using a condom is in no way "safe" sex. Condems break all of the time (that's how I got my son).
The only safe sex is abstinance. You should do some research on what happens to someone with HIV and the risks involved in having sex with them. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!

NO!

Read the package.

A condom does not protect you 100% from HIV!!!

Absolutely not.

Yes, meds are advanced these days, but there's nothing that prevents it from becoming full blown AIDS, which we all know is fatal.

There's also no cure in sight for AIDS. It's a painfull, horrible disease, and I wouldn't risk anything.

Not even if the condom covered them from head to toe. I would be a friend though never a lover in the sexual sense of the word.

No, if I wanted to take a chance, I would load a six shooter with 5 bullets and pull. It is what it is. DJP

No I would not.

I have had too many experiences where the condom slipped off inside of my body and it would be too much of a risk for me.

Absolutely NO WAY. It's not worth the risk.....condoms can slip or break. My life is not worth 10 minutes.
