We have been married for 2 months, my husband is from Italy, where his parents still live, however he hasn't told them that he is married. He also has an ex girlfriend that he still talks to, and he hasn't told her either. In fact his only friends that know are the ones that live in the area where we live. He says he wants to tell his parents in person. His parents know that I am his girlfriend, his ex girlfriend I doubt even knows about me. Is this just italian culture? I feel like I am a secret, and don't like it. It makes me question my husbands intentions.

Another thing is that my husband told me that when we do go and visit with his parents we would get married again, because they are very catholic, could it be an religious thing?

It sounds to me as though you do not exist in his life first and foremost you need to tell him to end all communication with his ex -GF that this is disrespectful to you and your marriage. You must tell him either he tells his parents or you will this is pathetic if i married someone I would want my parents to know even if I did it over the phone or in person. There is no reason he can't call them up and say he got married and when the two of you can afford it you will come visit. This guy sounds like someone that has played alot of ladies in his life be careful and if you sense something fishy is going on you may be right. God Bless and Good Luck. I dont know about the Italian Culture but something doesnt sound right. I would make sure if i was you i wasnt the other woman or there isnt another woman

Is he an american citizen? Is it possible he married you for citizenship? It sounds fishy to me. What man doesnt tell his parents he's married and still talks to his ex gf if his intentions are good?

He's using you for citizenship...and if he does have his papers...well honey...you married a loser, a user, and someone you need to get rid of ASAP. Is he ashamed of you he's not telling your parents? This whole thing sounds absurd

he may want to tell them in person but its common for men in Italy and has been for many years- to have mistresses--so beware-din't anyone tell you that?
