Probably not unless you had sex before that too. However, if you get a positive line it doesn't matter b/c you would be pregnant.

When a egg ovulates from the ovary, it floats down the tube, where, if fertilization happens, it will be fertilzed. It continues to move whilst the egg develops cells, and cell mass multiplies. Implantation normally occurs a week or so after fertilization. This is when the egg attaches to the womb and develops a placenta, and the baby gows in its sac. When the placenta is formed and there is a connection to the mother, the HCg levels will rise. For some women it rises quickli, for others slowly. In the case of multiples, it can rise quicker and higher. The amount of HGc levels in the mother will rise or double every 2-3 days. Most HPT's only pick up from a level of 25 up. Bearing in mind that this hormone isnt released into the mother untill the egg attaches firmly, normaly a week or so after fertilization there will be next none present when a pregnancy test was performed 6 days after intercourse. Some women experience negative results up to thier 12th week, and need it confirmed by a doctor. Although this is rare, it can happen, so don't think it won't.

Peek levels of HGC are reached from 8 weeks and steady out at a high level throughout the course of the pregnancy.

The information I have given you is what GP's and midwives go by, and they are qualified to know thier stuff. It is also pressuming you had sex very close to the ovulation date.

I hope this is of use to you.

Just to add, anything under a HGc level of 5 is classed as not pregnant. Women who gone through the 'Change' (Menopause) have a level of around 8, which is higher than a non pregnant women, who is still able to have children.

No, it really can't your body produces a hormone while pregnant, it is formed by the multiplying cells. Some pregnancy tests can detect this hormone earlier than others, EPT states that you can tell 1 week after your missed period. Your best bet is to sit tight and wait a few weeks, at least 1-2 then take a pregnancy test first thing in the morning, you'll have a better chance of being accurate then. But, don't take a negative as a negative until you have your period again, your body might not have enough hormones in it to detect the pregnancy yet. Good luck, hope it all works out for you!

It can be accurate in that it give a positive result if a woman is pregnant, but the pregnancy would not have been a result of the sex 6 days earlier. It would have occured before then.
If a negative result is coming up, then that doesn't rule out that the sex 6 days earlier has caused pregnancy. It would be too soon to test whether the woman was pregnant from that.

A pregnancy test is only accurate the day your period should be there. If your period was meant to arrive in those six days then it's a possibility, but highly unlikely that a pregnancy in that super early stage would register.

you can get a pregnancy test called 'first response' from the chemist, this will tell you as early as four days before your period is due, it's not as accurate as if you've missed a period but it's been proven to be something like 89% accurate at 4 days before your due period.
it depends, I suppose what time of the month you have sex, if you have it six days before you're due to come on your period, then perhaps it would come back positive if you had got cought, but I'm just guessing there.

It does depend on where you are in your cycle but generally you need to have already missed a period to get an accurate reading.

There are tests that will give you a reasonably accurate reading up to 5 days BEFORE your period is due, but expect to pay for that service!!

no...after a woman has conceived, her body will start recognizing the conception and create and increase of hormones that are needed to feed and sustain that pregnancy, a urine pregnancy test is only accurate after a certain many of days after a "missed" period. Your body/the pregnancy takes time to build up levels needed to perform a preg test.

Hi there I've also investigated into this, as I'm trying also for a niper.

You can take a test 4 days BEFORE you period is due. (First Response, I heard is good).

For better results take it 1 week after your missed period, as you could have ovulated later than you thought, whats worse is getting your hopes up.

Good luck, and patience is the key.
