To remove oil stains use regular old 99 cent shaving cream. Shaving cream lifts away oils. Apply the shaving cream (foam not gel) to the oil stain and scrub lightly with a toothbrush on the spot until the oil stain is gone, then launder as normal.

The hand cleaner mechanics use to get oil and grease off their hands works very well. Just rub it on the oil stain, let it stay for a few minutes and then wash. Go-Jo is one popular brand. Any auto parts store or Wal Mart will have it.

use a dab of Dawn dish soap to the area to pre-treat it and wash as normal. Make sure the stain is gone before you dry.

Squirt some Dawn dish soap on it and let it sit for a few hours, then wash it.
