Time is one element of the fabric of the universe, called spacetime. The other element we know if is, naturally, space. Though we perceive space to be seperate from time, they are in fact different manifestations of the same thing (much like speech and music are different manifestations of sound). We perceive time to move in a particular direction at a particular pace, but in fact each individiual particle of matter moves through time at their own pace (see Einstein's theory of Relativity), and any 2 observers of a given particle will not necessarily agree on the rate at which the particle is moving, nor how far it's gone (and neither observer would be more correct than the other). So is it a conception or a perception? Well, it's both! It is a perception in that it is how we each individually (and uniquely) perceive the universe, and it is a conception in that it is what allows us to make sense of the universe we perceive.
Hope this helps.

time as well as many other things in our lives are just ideas given a name for the pupose of easing discussion and continuing our ability to learn. Take the existence of the chinese calendar as prrof. Why is it that thier calendar has a seprate number of days in a year. The arabic calendar also, the ancient myans. Somewhere along the line someone needed to put consistencyin the world to make more progress out of our existence. Time may be real or it may be something we were led to believe and have never questioned, but the fact remains, it is no more description of an idea as anything else. It's human nature to define things in order to understand them.

Time? haha. Does time exist. Lets see. . ..... what is time, . .......
ok time is a word found in the dictionary
''the system of those sequential relations that any event has to any other, as past, present, or future; indefinite and continuous duration regarded as that in which events succeed one another.''
Well the dictionary really says it all, if everything stopped the position of all atoms of matter in relation to one another and the vast unvierse would be a moment in time, dissimiliar to any other.
That is all really, time has no bearing on anything except my wrist because i have a watch. Time is just a human way of (and these are my own words) relating one moment to the next for his own benefit. Really there is no overall powerful force of TIME.
At the moment i finished writing this the so called time was, 20:43 gmt.

Time is the 4th dimension, so is quite real.
Ever hear of the time-space continuum?
I mean the way we perceive time changes, time isn't a constant thing (i.e. if you're traveling in a spaceship at a fast speed, then the time that passes for you is less than what passes to a person looking at you from earth. if you're traveling at the speed of light, you will literally never age), but time is definitely a real concept.

Time is man made, it did not exist until Uggy Plumbago (the first Plumber) set his hourly rate. The Railway system adopted it to make timetables appear real, and mobile/cellphone company's use it to rip off silly kids per second.Cliff Richard (apparently) defies time, and Jagger is stuck in it.

No, time is just a man-made measurement to measure how long it takes us to complete a task. You can't go forwards or backwards in time and time travel has never been proven. I think the word originated when one caveman rolled the first wheel over another man's foot. The second caveman said, "you can take this wheel off my foot any f*c*K*n time now sweetheart".

Yes Time is our perception of our existence
That is what we were taught from the age we learnt to read the time
From the time we started school it was programed into our minds.

Time does not really exist. Since the universe is infinite, it does not recognize time or distance. Time as we know it is a purely human invention and interpretation of natural phenomenae created to control people through fear, intimidation and coercion.

Time is a manmade concept. It's real only in the physical plane. On other planes of existance, time is meaningless

Not really man invented it to mark the passing of it's life. Time did not exist before man, just a series of events.
