I'd use a concealer not foundation if u dont want to cover ur whole face. Foundation would make one little spot look funny and you could probably see some sort of makeup line where it starts and stops.

If its a deep scar, your best bet is Dermablend. Its made for covering scars. If its not really deep, I love the concealer by Burt's Bees. I'm very fair and I have a couple of small scars on my face that are noticable without makeup. A little Burt's and voila, they're gone!

You need to use concealer experiment in the shops whether liquid or solid stick covers it better then you can set it with some powder. You might want to think about using a foundation with it like Dream Matte Mousse by Maybelline, just dab on your face with your fingers then rub in.

You just need a concealer.
Try Rimmel's Hide the Blemish concealer, they're a pretty thick coverage concealer
If not, just go to a drugstore and try out different concealers until you find one that works.

most people who say they are 'light skinned' are darker than 'white' people, but lighter than 'black' people.
if you are a light skinned 'black' person try using a foundation 1 - 2 shades lighter than your natural color and apply it with a makeup brush and blend with your ring finger.
if you are mixed (like a medium spanish coloring) try a mixture of green based concealer and foundation (mix it first, before applying). apply with a makeup brush and blend with your ring finger.
if you are a light skinned 'white' person try using a light green based concealer with a makeup brush and blend with your ring finger.
have you tried a tinted moisturizer?
