a silver nano looks really nice and it's small..... so it's perfect to fit in your pocket.... alot of people love nano ipods....

If you are asking about the "Apple" ipod brand then it actually depends on your wants & needs. Out of the current ones (Nano & Regular ipod) for me it was the Regular. At $249, the 30GB holds 7500 songs and the 4GB Nano is $199 but only holds 1000 songs. The Regular also plays movies where the Nano doesn't. If price is an issue the $149 Nano is still an awesome thing. But the main question is...do you want Movies/Video? We have both (Regular & Nano) in our household and we use the regular ipod more...

I would say a 30 GB iPod is best. It has a large color display, holds 7000 songs and plays video. But you don't have to spend $300; I got a free one from this site: http://ipods.freepay.com/?r=36920289. I signed up to get 5 DVDs for $5, which came about a week later.
