Their father? I just heard a comment that women usually marry someone like their father. Do you believe that?

Yes they do! Not literally, but a man just like their father, yes in general they do.

I conducted my own survey. First I asked the girl what the ideal height for a guy was. Then I asked her a couple of other questions then I asked how tall her dad was. Quite often her ideal height for a guy was the exact height and it was almost always within an inch or two.

Even down to the physical attractiveness, girls want to marry a guy like their dad. I wouldn't say thats because they were sexually attracted to their dad, but it makes sense since their dad is the man they grew up with that they would think of him as the right kind of man so thats who they marry. It goes along with finding stability in the marriage relationship. Girls want to be taken care of. Their dad did that, so they find a husband like their dad.

No way, my husband is the total opposite of my father. My father is so self centered, I could never and would never marry a man like that.

Yes, I do believe that. As a child I was like "There's no way I'm ever marrying anyone like my father." Well my husband is so much like my dad, I could spit. On the up-side, my hubby is Mr. Fix-It and Mr. Outdoors like my dad was.

Yes. My father is a very intelligent man that knows a bit about everything. He can fix practically anything and is very kind and is always ready to listen. My man is the same way. :)

I have to say yes. Everyone tells me that my son's father reminds them of my dad. That's one of the main reasons I'm not married, because my father is a jackhole.

Ive seen many people do it without realizing it. It makes sense if you think about it. You would want someone that reminds you of the man you are most comfortable with... if you liked your dad.
