She's been singing all of her life and was signed to an independent out of LA. Whenever she performs with her band people freak out. She's 36, but looks 25. someone told her she will never get signed by a major cuz she is to old. What are your thoughts?

Youre never too "Old" to be signed. It all has to do with your sound. There are plenty of older chicks in music that are awesome. Blondie, Pat Benetar, Joan Jett, they are older and rock. So just tell her to keep trying, she'll make it one day.

I read in a recording industry book once that labels usually try to sign young people so they can mold them but this isn't always the case. Tell her to keep on rocking and making those connections.
