A simple sentence has one independent clause. A compound sentence has two independent clauses. A complex sentence has a dependent and an independent clause. So it stands to reason that a combination would be compound-complex.

An autonomous clause is a team of words in a sentence which could stand on it particularly is very own. The comma separates 2 clauses that must be sentences without the the remainder of the sentence. the 1st one is each little thing till now the comma, the 2d is each little thing after it.
