Depends on how far you along you were and if you have an previous medical conditions that would merit doing the test. Sorry you lost your baby.

Once again i am sorry you lost your baby most doctors dont run that test unless previous conditions merit it with my son i was never given the test and unfortantly lost him. When I got pregnant with my daughter one of my doctors at my office decided to run the test when i was around 14 weeks it came back positive. I have APS and had to go on blood thinners for the rest of my pregancy it was very hard at times and I had to be monitored closely. So stay with your doctor and find out exactly what the abnormal results mean. So you are better informed if you choose to try again.

If your doc took ana titers, they may want to r/o lupus or any other autoimmune disorder. Autoimmune disorders attack the patients system by producing antibodies that see normal cells as foreign. Anticardiolipin antibodies can be the cause of miscarriages and stillbirths, because they can cause a clot in the umblical cord which could cut off the blood flow between fetus and mother. its a good thing that the doc took the ana test. Dont stress about it ,wait until you get the results and then take it from there.
