Absolutely, the test will show if there are pregnancy hormones present no matter where the fetus is located in the body. However, even if it shows that you aren't you would still need to see your doctor since something is making you suspect that you might be pregnant so you might as well keep your appointment.

I had an ectopic in 1990. My pregnancy test was positive. Didn't know that it was an ectopic until the fallopian tube ruptured. DO NOT wait until this point to seek medical assistance. It is horribly painful and reeks havoc with your body!!!!

I could but sometimes it wont. With ectopic pregnancies (a tubal pregnancy is a type of ectopic pregnancy) the level of hCG will sometimes rise then drop. I friend of mine who had a tubal pregnancy took quite a few HPTs some were neg and some were pos. (all on different days) because she was so confused by this she went to the doctor (an hour befor she left she started to have some bleeding) and when she got there the doctor said that she was miscarring. She knew that if she was miscarring and the last HPT she had was (-) then this one would be (-) too. But it was positive. She went to the ER and they ran tests and found it to be a tubal pregnancy. She had no choice but to abort since an embryo can not survive in one of your tubes. If she continued her pregnancy both her and the embryo would die because the tube would burst and cause her to hemorrhage.

I really hope you dont have to experience a tubal pregnancy-good luck

Yes it will show up. The test checks for the hcg and even in a tubal pregnancy your body produces the hormone. I hope everything is okay. Good luck and God Bless.

If the being pregnant is on your tube then your hcg hormone point could nevertheless be registering on your place attempt, provided you attempt after your era's due date, which it seems such as you're. The hcg point is probably no longer comparable to a common being pregnant, yet even a small quantity could sign in. i think of that whether the infant died on your tube that there might nevertheless be adequate hcg on your equipment to have registered an excellent on your attempt consequence. so a great way as a rupture, definite! it may ensue, whether it particularly is extremely painful and you does not have the means to sit down down here and talk any of this if this grew to become into occurring or had befell. as a great way because of the fact the cysts... they might delay and or emininate your classes all jointly and actually mess your cycle up. you'll be able to desire to verify A DR. and not take the different suggestion than that.

You wouldnt be able to tell it would be able to tell you if you are pregnant or not, it might be harder to show up though as a tubal pregnancy doesnt implant in the womb and so doesnt produce so much hormone, they usually check this by hormone levels in your blood.
Good luck xx

Yes, since it measure the HCG hormone. The only way to know if it's tubal is to have an ultrasound.
