Would large plastic garbage containers be out of the question?
Assuming you bought them new, each round container would hold somewhere between 50 - 100 pounds of seed, and if you get the wheeled kind then transportation and storage isn't that much of an issue, other than perhaps you'd need a scoop of some sort later to get the seed back out in measurable quantities. Beyond that it is only a matter of making sure you get the lidded kind, and perhaps so you can write the name of the seed onto the lid with an erasable magic marker?
