By the way, I am asking why the government minted the coins with George Washington angry on them, not why you or I think he is angry -- that is kind of obvious.

Also, for those of you who do not know, "In God We Trust" is on there, hidden on the outside edges: http://www.usmint.gov/mint_programs/$1coin/index.cfm?action=EdgeIncused

There use to be a T.V. commercial of a highway, mountains, and flowing water streams and a American Indian with a tear running down his face, it was a don't litter advertisement. It literally brought tears to those who watched it. He to, had his fill of disrespect.

George Washington is angry because this Country was founded on Biblical principles. The reason this Country has been so "Blessed" by God is because the majority of the people that live here placed everything before God and trusted Him for the answer. Now it is filled with evil, wickedness, fifth, sexual predators and sexual perversion.
God has witnessed about all He cares to see. He has turned those over to their depraved minds and Hell is the next step for all that do not believe and worship God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit,

Because they took "In God We Trust" off the face of the coin and put it on the side where eventually it can be rubbed off. Just like what society is trying to do with the word of God.

He's not angry, he's noble-looking. Ever seen photos from the early days of cameras? They all look angry too. The mint is just trying to recreate that look.

i don't be responsive to how authentic it somewhat is yet I heard that George Washington did not smile a lot simply by fact he had wood tooth. that's what made him seem grouchy -- he did not smile plenty.

Because the government keeps making new money, wasting money we could be spending on more important things.

Have you looked around at what's happening to this country? He has every right to be angry.

He isn't angry. he looks that way in many portraits of him. It was probably the way he trimmed his eyebrows I am guessing.
