I hade one before, and then eventually my mom said I had to delete it becuase she thought I was going to get raped or kidnapped. I only had friends who i actually knew, like my best friends, and people from school....
I want one again, Its so easy to stay in touch with everyone on it. I would keep it on private, and only talk to people that I actually literally knew. I'm afraid to ask her, she's very strange about things like this.
I have an xanga, she's fine with that, so whats up? I know this is sooo stupid but i want one so don't be rude about it.

How old are you? You obviously have to do as your Mom says, but maybe you can suggest a compromise. Maybe you can tell her that she can have your password and feel free to check out everything you have on your site whenever she wants. This way she can be assured that you are not communicating with any weirdos out there, and you can still have fun with your friends.

She just read bad stuff in the paper about myspace and is trying to look out for you. Why don't you just stay on xanga--its the same thing anyway, and it will keep her happy. Do you really want to get in trouble over a stupid website?

Same with me, I used to have a Myspace, but my father made me delete it, but I learned that parents are only doing it for our own sake, even if we don't know it, they do everything to our benefit, not to ruin our lives.
This is what I would do....ask your dad (Usually most dads are so clueless about this stuff!) and if he says no, ask your mom again, explain to her that I will putit on private, and I will not add anyone that I do not know.
Xanga is pretty much like Myspace, but, why doyou need two?
There is also a website called Friendster (Friendster.com) if your mom says no.
I use Facebook (Facebook.com), and I love it! You should try Facebook, let me know if youmake a Facebook, we can add each other as friends, and talkl together!

You need to do what she says, that is the way it works. She is the parent, you are the child.

Don't bring up xanga to her or you will lose that too.

Life is not fair, and no one gets everything they want. The sooner you learn that the better.

attempt telling her that she will examine it. cuz letting her examine it is going to coach that u arent conversing too "different ppl" and that myspace isnt undesirable. purely make one in any case. thats what i did and my dad have been given pissed whilst he found out yet then after a on an identical time as he gave in.
