It depends on the type of EPT test it is. Most of the newer ones get a control line and then either a plus or negative sign in the other box. Is the 2nd line going the same direction as the one in the control box? If so, then that is a positive test. If the 2nd line is perpendicular to the control line, then that is a negative result.

The first line is a control line so that you know the test developed correctly. If you get a second line, you're pregnant.

One line shows that the test is working properly. If you get a second line no matter how faint it is you are more than likely pregnant. Hope this helps.
