The girl I was supposed to go out with broke off the date, so I went out with a friend and met my wife who was with a group of friends celebrating a bachelorette party. I never would have met her otherwise. Neither of us had ever been to that nightclub.

We met on-line, in a Writer's Forum. She was looking for someone to help edit her latest book, and I volunteered. We lived 1200 miles apart, but the next year we met in person and the year after that we were married. That was in the year 2000. Our seventh wedding anniversary is coming up in a week, and we both still feel like we are honeymooning.
