I love this movie !!!! It's soo romanitic .. I wish something that romantic would happen to me minus the dying and all the tragic parts!

No the love story of Jack and Rose is not true. Everything around them not involving them is true (as far as history can tell us)
However the necklace is based on a real necklace from one of the passengers from the titanic. I can't remember her name, but her husband gave her that necklace on the day the iceberg struck. She survived and he didn't.
I to love titanic. Both the real story and the love story.

I hate when they take what could be a good movie and slap a love story in there. A giant ship hitting an iceburg and sinking...that's cool. But you ruin it with the love story.
The movie Pearl Harbor...great topic, could be a good movie...but you throw in a love story. DOH!!

Yes it is! don't listen to that dork that said no! There are documents on it and a survivor is the one that told the love story. The people that say 'no' just want a quick 2 points!

It is not real, but one would assume that out of all the people ON BOARD the Titanic, something similar had to have happened.

although the story of jack and rose has never been proven true, there is a large chance that a story similar could have happened and was just never made public.
