I changed the door switch on my Maytag Dryer. It had a yellow wire and a white wire running to the switch. But I forgot to label where each wire went on the new switch after I removed the old switch then went to the appliance shop. Does it matter?

Not at all, it just completes a circuit...wire them as you please.

That switch simply breaks the circuit to shut down the dryer when the door is opened. It should make no difference which is hooked to which terminal.

Not at all. If the switch has only two terminals it does not matter which wire goes where.

No, it doesn't matter. It is just a switch leg.
