For the last day and a half I have noticed a pins and needles feeling, almost vibration feeling in my stomach. I am four months pregnant. It usually occurs if i am laying on my belly, is this normal?

I experienced the same thing during all three of my pregnancies.. I went and asked my doctor, she informed me that sometimes, a nerve may be blocked either by the baby or just the weight of your uterus..it is quite a normal thing.. Sometimes laying in a warm bath helps, if you are concerned though go see your doctor or just ring a medical hot-line and express your concerns..

I have a similar sensation, only on my right side, and I've been feeling it for several weeks. It's more intense if I sit for too long at a time. It can be quite a sharp pain, at times (after a long road trip, for example). My doctor said it is due to nerves and my growing belly- no reason to worry. I found stretching helps. I would assume you're going through the same thing, but ask your doctor at your next visit, just to be safe.

Normal I don't know but my daughter did have the pin and needle feelings around 4 months and the next morning she could no longer get into her "big girl pants" and had to go into maternity pants.
