i am 38 weeks and i woke this morning with a headache and my boyfriends mother he's the father of my baby well he was my boyfriend but he was not happy that we were having a second child he only wanted 1 kid not 2 and yes im pregnant with my second child and my boy friends mother came over i guess she still like to see her grandchildren and i told her i have the headache she said its a sign that i will be going into labour in a few days but i dont really think it that it could be from something else but it just got me thinking could i get signs few days before going into labour now with my first i didnt but this one maybe diffrent.

yes its normal. I have done it with all 3 of my kids.

With my first baby I went to bed so many nights thinking 'I think tonight's the night'. It never was. The more time you spend convincing yourself that labour is 'any minute now' the more the last few months will drag and the more frustrating it is when you get to 37 weeks, and 38 weeks and 39 weeks...And in my case 40+5! Your baby definitely doesn't want to come out now because he or she could not survive without medical attention at 31 weeks.The lungs are not ready to breathe air yet and he or she would need to be in special care for up to 2 months.

Sounds like you got a lot going on in your life!! Whew, you made me tired. Anyway, I believe there are signs you can get. I have had three babies and with each one I would get a headache and extreme exhaustion, like I just couldn't make myself do anything a few days before labor.

A headache is not a sign of prelabour. It could mean your blood pressure is getting high, possibly due to the stress you're having. If it is not getting better, and it is getting quite severe, get it checked asap since it could mean preeclampsia or pregnancy induced hypertension. Also, you could be dehydrated...so drink some water...

thats what i was wondering i had a headache last night i got a warm wet towel and put it over my forehead and i fell to sleep and i will be 38 wks pregnant tomorrow will be induced on friday

for several weeks before labor I just felt horrible. Achy with many more braxton hicks than before. Also I didn't want to eat much

Haven't heard of that one, but I have heard of having a larger nose. have someone who sees you everyday look at your nose and ask if it looks swollen. supposedly if it does, you'll be having a baby in the next 48 hours. fun to think about..
