A small amount of caffeine is okay. I believe the limit is 2 caffeine drinks per day. Go ahead and have something to get you through the rest of the day. Just try to get more sleep at night to make sure you are getting enough rest and hopefully you won't have to rely on any caffeine. During the first trimester all the organs are forming, so it's going to zap your energy. You usually get some of your energy level back in your second trimester, so take comfort in the fact that you only have a few more weeks of this fatigue. Congratulations and best wishes.

One of my biggest cravings I've had so far during my pregnancy (28 weeks) is coke (but it has to be in a cup with lots of ice and I have to drink it with a straw or else it's not as good).
Yes, yes, yes you can have a coke! Go ahead! Some caffeine (in limited amounts) is not going to hurt your baby. My OBGYN told me I could have caffeine. In fact, new studies have recently come out saying that some caffeine may actually be good for the baby!
So have a coke and don't give it another worry!!

yes and most doctors will say that if you have to have your morning coffee, just drink a cup or maybe two at the most. I think large amounts of caffeine is not good for the baby, but small amounts have no harmful effect. I am 8 months pregnant with a 1 and 1/2 year old and have taken a few caffiene tablets throught my pregnancy for headaches and just to get through the day.

Yes, as long as you don't drink like an entire 12-pack! Excessive caffeine during pregnancy has been linked to ADHD in kids, but an occasional Coke or cup of coffee is just fine. In fact, doctors reccommend now that if you were a regular caffeine drinker to NOT quit cold turkey.

You are allowed up to 300 g or mg.. what ever it is of caffeine a day. A can of coke is about 50 so yes you can. I limit myself to 1 or 2 a day. Dr. said that was fine. Just remember that chocolate has caffeine too, so if you eat chocolate that day count it as caffeine intake. Just don't be drinking double latte's or red bull...haha you're baby will be doing flips.

A little caffeine wont hurt just dont go drink 2-3 cups coffee. Bad idea.
The best thing for fatigue is to go to bed early. And take it easy though the day. Dont over do it and if you get a chance take a small nap to recharge.

The best sleep in the world is pregnancy sleep! If you can possibly, take advantage of it!! It will be the best sleep you will ever have! If you cant sleep then sure have a coke! I drank soda's the entire time I was pregnant with both of my kids! If you are at work and cannot take a nap definitely take one when you get home. It will do you a world of good!

You can have caffience here and there. Just not all the time. Go ahead and have a coke if you need a little jolt to stay awake then go home after work and take a nap or just go to bed earlier tonight. Congrats!!

Well, Your problem might be that the kittens know that they're allowed on the window sill, and like you said, your desk is next to your window? So maybe it's confusing them... You could either keep them away from the window/desk area... or rearrange your furniture a bit... That's all I can think of :S...

I know you are told not to drink soda pop because it has too much caffeine in it and will leave the baby hyper.
I am currently 8 months pregnant I myself sip on clear pop occasionally just don;t make it a habit.
