I had my fifth at 38; my sister had her first at 38 and her second at 40; fertility does start to decline a little after the age of 35, then after 40 the rate of fertility declines faster and faster with each year that passes; at 35, you should still have no problems; however, it might take you longer to conceive than it would have done 10 years ago.

I think conceiving at 35 is harder for some people than others, but that is the same at any age. It depends on your and your partner, and how healthy and fertile you both are. My midwife said they don't start doing any extra (age related) tests until 37+.
My DH and I didn't really have to try very hard.

fertility reduces with age and the risk of abnormalities increases as a woman gets older but however many people still have a healthy baby at the age of 35 and over

i had some problems at 28-30. i had been using the contraceptive pill for 14 years!.
rule of thumb i was told by my doctor is for every year using pill, wait one month.
I also used ovulation tests, like preganancy tests and took my temperture every morning to find optimum ovulation time.
It actually took 15 months to concieve and I now have a beautiful baby girl - good luck
