Check the weekly ads for Best Buy. Not only can you find a cheap and decent laptop, they will check out you new laptop, at no additional cost to you, so that you don't get all the way home and realize that it doesn't work.

just got a deal at best buy new toshiba satellite 105 just because it has xp vs vista saved 1/2 with vista there $1400 with xp gave $699 good deal
