But i know i did not send it, the mail said soup days and i certainly would remember if i had done this accidentley.but the email looks as if i have sent it to myslef.senders name has my email addy in it.How can i check who sent it in easy to understand terms.its a bit of a worry to be fair wonder if anyone can help please.

Just need to know if it can be done and i can trace it.Follow this story its interesting i promise ,but i need to be able to trace it so i can present it as proof to someone.

righty to add to this mystery i know who has sent it,but i need to go thru the right channels to prove that they sent it,does that help.

delete it it is spam junk mail. they mimic that it is from yourself. there wont be a way to trace it

You don't say what mail program you are using, but it may be possible to look at the message headers, which should show the route the message has taken to reach you. That may give enough info to work out where it came from. As someone else has said it's spam and hardly worth investigating. I would do a malware scan on your pc though.

I don't know that you can find out who sent it, it's a spammer. I used to get those occasionally. Don't worry about it. If it really bothers you change your email address.

I am not very computer literate, but a techie friend of mine said that spammers often hijack people's computers (using spyware) to send out the spam. It may be that a spammer is using your computer to send out spam, and one went out to you.

Oh my goodness that sounds weird! I'm afraid i'm not computer literate so i cant help much apart from offer my sympathy.. I'll be interested to know the answer though... so i'll be checking back later to see.
