WOW - great question. I really wish I knew the answer. But if I had to venture a guess I would say selfishness, ignorance, and violence in the name of God have always played a key role in the ongoing miserable state of human condition.

It is difficult to be human because then we have to look at the fact that we are not perfect beings. It also means to admit we have feelings and sometimes those feelings can be hurt. Being human lays us bare with our vulnerabilities exposed. Therefore, it is easier for people to guard themselves against the hurts others can impose upon them. Instead we want others to think we are striving for attainment and achievement and we are very strong and can do anything. But, we all are human. We just have to realize that to be human is a natural process of life and encourage ourselves each day to allow others into our realm with the possibility of being hurt. Life is full of risks, but to risk nothing we never gain anything. So take the risk and in the process become fulfilled in your life :-)

Because compared to every other species out there, we are able have to emotions, thoughts, ideas, We all have differents cultures, surroundings, experiences which can effect how each of our lives are lived and we have the ability change and control it all which puts stress on ourselves and others. While every species experience emotions and thoughts they don't have the general understanding process that we have.

It's not. Humans are the easiest living creatures. Until you learn to wipe your own ***, others will do it for you.
