We make simple Easter Chicks really easy - use a saucer to make a circle. Paint it yellow - using sponges makes it more textured. Then cut out some beak shapes (colour orange) and little wings almond shape about 5 cm across (colour darker yellow than paint to be seen better) and get the children to stick them on. Then for legs we use sting painted brown or brown wool. The eye is a circle about the size of a 2p coin and the children use a finger tip of black paint for the pupil.
They look really cute with the big bodies and little legs.
Happy Easter

DO you still take your kids egg rolling. Well if you do boil some eggs in dark coffee and get brown coloured eggs they can put dots with paint on the to make them pretty.
In olden day when i was home on the farm we gathered the winns yellow flowers and boiled our eggs to colour them yellow.
also try cake decoration colouring for egg coloursing ..
Then you got a hunt for who could find the most eggs and got one chocolate egg.
