Learning to play the guitar?

by ear and have no musical background or training. Is there a place on line to download pictures of finger placement on the fretboard for popular songs ?

Try something called Tab Notation. Pick a song title and do a search on the song name and "guitar tab notation" and you'll find sites with what you are looking for....

Yeah, but you will be much better faster if you learn chords and some theory first.

Try the book fretboard logic.
